  • Danijela Budiša Ubović
    Danijela Budiša Ubović

Danijela Budiša Ubović (Srbija) I am a Ph.D. holder in Psychology, a certified Transactional Analyst, and a provisional educator and supervisor in the field of psychotherapy.
My journey in psychology began in 2001 when I completed my psychology studies. Following that, I spent a decade working in a psychiatric hospital. During this time, I pursued further education in Transactional Analysis and completed postgraduate studies in clinical psychology. Simultaneously, I ventured into private practice and commenced my academic career at the University of Novi Sad, where I held various roles for six years—serving as a psychologist, psychotherapist, and teaching assistant.
This multifaceted professional engagement influenced the focus of my master’s and doctoral theses, both of which explored the intersection of transactional analysis and clinical psychology. Building on this research, I authored and published four scientific papers in international journals, delving into the empirical foundations of several Transactional Analysis concepts, such as injunctions, racket feelings, life positions, script decisions, and script.
Despite my fondness for lecturing, concerns about the functioning of the state university in Serbia led me to transition into a new role within Transactional Analysis. Consequently, I embraced the position of a provisional educator and supervisor, stepping away from academia. Currently, I am actively involved in private practice as a psychotherapist and hold the position of educator and supervisor at the Institute for Relational Transactional Analysis, an institution I founded in Novi Sad, Serbia, in 2018.
In both psychotherapy and education/supervision, my primary focus centers on the therapeutic relationship and unconscious processes, both integral aspects of Relational Transactional Analysis. Furthermore, I am dedicated to promoting relational TA within my home country. Collaborating with colleagues, particularly from England, I strive to offer an alternative educational and supervisory experience, navigating the challenges inherent in our conventional context and fostering growth for both myself and my students.
I am an active member of the International Transactional Analysis Association (ITAA), the Serbian and European Association for Transactional Analysis (SATA/EATA), and the International Association for Relational Transactional Analysis (IARTA). Currently residing and working in Novi Sad, I find fulfillment in the dynamic atmosphere of this city.
